Synopsis: Traditional Western star Howard Spence walks off the set of his latest film, dragged by a surfeit of booze, women and hellraiser headlines into a personal crisis. He begins searching for value to his life with a visit to his mother Lulu. She tells Spence that he has a child he never met and he heads for Indiana to see lost-love Doreen and the son she bore him 30 years ago.
